Verso Design is a woman-owned small business based in the San Francisco Bay Area—working with teams across the country and beyond.
Lauren Vajda
San Francisco Bay Area-
Lauren takes great interest in problem-solving for clients across a range of design mediums. She has worked with many outstanding corporations, institutions, and organizations including Adobe, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Harvard University, and The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC).
Her work has been recognized by Graphis, Print Magazine, HOW Magazine, the InspirED School Marketers Brilliance Awards, and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), among other publications and awards organizations.
As a way to give back to her profession and design community, she served as vice president, president, and finally as an advisory board member on the board of the Orange County, California chapter of the AIGA, a national nonprofit professional organization for the advancement of design.
Emma Philip
Amsterdam, NL-
Emma takes a thoughtful, narrative-first approach to graphic design and illustration, helping clients express who they are and connect meaningfully with their audience. Her background includes a decade of experience working across culture, social impact, and creative sectors, with a focus on visual identity and layout design. Some clients includes work with Natural England and Core Humanitarian Standard.
Curious and collaborative by nature, she values process as much as outcomes— striving to make work that’s accessible, unexpected, and deeply thoughtful.
Originally from South Africa, Emma now works from Amsterdam, applying a calm, considered lens to a wide range of projects.

Sel Thomson
Greater Los Angeles / Orange County-
Sel is an illustrator and designer specializing in product and brand. With a background in graphic design, she has pursued illustration in recent years and worked with companies of all sizes, from non-profits and agencies to tech and healthcare companies, including Meta, FAO Schwarz, Cartoon Network, and Universal.
She loves visual systems and the power of illustration and motion to add a human touch to products. From packaging and icon design to product illustration and art direction, her wide range of experience has equipped her to understand and meet the unique needs of her clients. Her goal is to create delightful work that elevates brands and experiences while using illustration as a tool to communicate complex ideas more simply.
In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family, learning how to dance, and finding treasure at the local swap meet.
Margaret To
Los Angeles-
Margaret To is a motion designer and filmmaker. She co-founded Studio SAKA, a design and video production studio dedicated to social impact and environmental education.
She works with educators, nonprofits, and ethical businesses on creative storytelling, inspiring us to take action on equity and environmental issues. Her work has been featured at the Getty Center, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Moody Performance Hall, and Museum of Contemporary Art in Zagreb.
As the Chapter Co-Lead for Climate Designers, she hosts local meetups and curates climate resources, jobs, and volunteer opportunities for the Los Angeles community.
When she is not doodling in her sketchbook, you will find her working on her vegetable garden or exploring new bike trails. She is passionate about climate solutions, gender equality, and mental health awareness.
