Challenge

LJCDS sought to create an alumni magazine that reflected its brand promise—Inspiring Greatness for a Better World—and conveyed the broad influence of its graduates across industries and continents.

Solution

We partnered with the school to design 1926, named in honor of LJCDS’s founding year. The editorial structure takes readers from the local to the global: beginning with campus news “On Genessee Ave.…,” moving through community voices in “Overheard,” highlighting alumni achievements “…and Beyond,” and culminating in feature stories that celebrate alumni impact. In later years, LJCDS’s Annual Impact Report was integrated into the magazine, expanding reach and aligning philanthropy with storytelling.

Outcome

Since its launch in 2016, 1926 has become a vital channel for alumni engagement. The publication has grown readership, inspired giving, and reconnected the school with its global alumni network—sharing stories of inspiration while reinforcing LJCDS’s enduring mission.
